ATI 2600xt 512 DDR4 or nVidia 8600gt 256 DDR3? ?

I have a dilemma...

I need a new video card for my second computer, so I'm looking at mainstream market. Should I choose MSI ATI RX2600XT-DIAMOND-512 512MB DDRIV DirectX 10 HDMI TV Out DVI Dual VGA HDTV (850 MHz GPU 2300 MHz DDR4) or MSI nVidia NX8600GT 512MB DDRII 128Bit DirectX 10 HDMI DVI (540MHz GPU 1000MHz DDR3)?

The Radeon 2600XT and Geforce 8600GT are probably the closest-matched cards between the ATI and Nvidia lines.  Performance is so close- the 8600GT is slightly faster at gaming, the 2600XT is a little better for TV playback.

I'd just go on price..

The 8600 GT performs slightly better but it's rumored that all 8xxx series video cards are bad and will fail.  My suggestion is the HD2600XT or but one of the newer lines.

Too many terms AWWWWWW! But i got an nVidia 8600gt I dont know what all these terms mean but it is really great.
