  1. I'm not an expert with cards, but I can tell you this...

The GeForce series of cards is manufactured by nVidia.

Also.. we don't need to know your age.

  2. the cards use pci-e slots.

you need an adequate power supply to run higher power cards.

    for more information see

  3. you must say what is the difference between ATI and nVIDIA not Geforce .. neverminde here is the difference :

1.nVIDIA released the GeForce series like GeForce (4,5 ,6 ,7 ,8 ,9 ) and now the GTX2 .. ATI released the RADEON series like X1900 (from series 2) and HD 3450 (from series 3) and HD 4870 (from series 4)

2.nVIDIA invented the SLI technology , VIVD technology , D.O.T technology ..etc

3.ATI invented the CrossfireX technology , Gamer OSD technology , Smart Doctor technology ..etc

there is a simlarity between the two companies in product and technologies ( SLI , Crossfirex) .. so u can't just say ATI is better or nVIDIA is better ! ! ! although ATI is on fire this year for releasing RADEON HD 4870X2 (2GB). thx for reading !

  4. ATI and Geforce are just 2 major brands of chips and card designer.  So basically when they produce new chips, brands like EVGA, PNY, ASUS will take over to construct the card and modify it (with little differences from one another); the well-known the brand (EVGA, ASUS, XFX etc.) the more expensive the card.  It really depends on your preference and your experience on using both cards, some people like Geforce because they think it's more powerful or ATI since it costs much less.  Geforce is currently dominating the market with their new graphic card series coming out (currently at 9000 series).  Right now all new motherboards comes with PCI-E and all new graphic cards  (both ATI and Geforce) supports it.  SO when you buy graphic card make sure that it supports PCI-E and that your computer has PCI-E.  Warning: Do watch out for your desktop case, the powerful graphic cards comes with large space consumption, and sometimes might not fit into small desktop case.
