Andy Murray showed his brilliance and class at the O2 Arena to outclass his Spanish veteran rival David Ferrer to enter into the last four stages of the ATP World Tour Finals tennis event, being held in London, England.
The British number one Andy Murray started the match in a crumbled way but recovered marvellously well to brush off his Spaniard veteran rival Ferrer.
As compared to Murray, Ferrer started the match pretty awesomely and broke the serve of Murray in the first set. But later Andy recovered well and delighted the British crowd with his memorable performance.
With the victory against Ferrer, Andy Murray has qualified for the semi-finals of the tournament and currently he is on the second spot of the Group B of the tournament, after Swiss legend Roger Federer.
Murray is currently enjoying the perfect playing form and his recent performance in the match against Ferrer has shown his eagerness and talent to grab the title. The victory against David Ferrer was crucial and special for Murray as he was performing in
front of his home crowd and it was the last chance for him to qualify for the next stage of the tournament.
In the beginning of the match Murray showed a very ordinary game and netted the ball at various occasions while responding to the Ferrer’s fierce serves. In the second game of the first set of the match Ferrer broke Murray’s serve and took the lead of 2
points to none and dragged the 23-year-old Briton into a state of frustration.
But the home crowd backed their star Andy Murray well and gave him some motivation. The encouraging roars of the British crowd helped the former world number two Scot, Murray to gain the lost confidence.
After that Murray held his nerves and displayed a brilliant forehand and snatched an important point by breaking David Ferrer’s serve and clinched the first game for him.
The Englishman showed his brilliance and frustrated his opponent. The Scot proved to be a bit too tough for the Spanish. The frustration of Ferrer opened a window of opportunity for the Britain’s top tennis ace. Murray produced a tremendous double break
and later clutched the victory in the first set.
The second set of the match proved to be a bit unlucky for the Spaniard David Ferrer as he remained out of touch and displayed some reluctant unforced errors. David Ferrer’s serve was not as lethal as it was in the first set of the match. Andy clinched two
break points in the second set of the match and convincingly emerged victorious.
