  1. Actually there is no reason that is 'the ticket' for returning a car you agreed to purchase.  Once the papers are signed and you drive off the lot, the car belongs to you.  the dealer has no obligation whatsoever to take the car back, nor is it in his best business interests to do so.  In California, a buyer may PURCHASE at time of sale a 3 day right of recission.  I am not 100% sure if this applies only to used cars or extends to new cars as well.  however this option must be paid for at the time of the car deal, and excersized within that 36 hour window.

The only other way a new car can be returned is if it is a lemon - but that fact takes months if not years to establish.

  2. it has to fall under the lemon law before the mfg. will buy it back

which basically means that repair has been attempted several times & it cannot be fixed!

  3. None and none.

If your new car has major issues you might be able to get a facotry buyback but thats a lengthy process and has to be well documented by the dealership.

Not liking the car or to much money are not acceptable reasons.

If your really desperate to get out of the car go back to the dealer and tell them you want out and they will help you find a car that better suites you, but it will cost you some serious coin to do so, even if a car only has 100 miles on it it cant be sold as new so you lose money on depreciation, and if you financed tax and interest add up as well.

  4. NONE- You can not return a car.  If that was the case you could go get a new car every few days and return it.  Lemon Law can apply, but doesn't sound like you have that problem

  5. There is absolutely NO "cooling off" period, NO "buyers remorse" clause, NO "right to rescission" provide by law for the purchase or lease of an automobile, unless it's returned under lemon law warranty, or you purchased CA's right to do so.

Dealers may be willing to help you into a car that better suits your needs, but is in no way required to do so.  And should not be expected.

  6. as far as i kno u cannot return a car
