Ok, I have an annoying problem with my 4-wheeler. I call it BackFire Syndrome. Anytime I coast down a hill in 3rd or 2nd OR EVEN 1st gear, sometimes I get an extremely loud "POP" from the tailpipe (hence the name; BackFire Syndrome) Is this something I should be concerned about, should I try to fix it, or is it just one of those "Change Your Driving Technique" things?

Can anyone help me??

  1. turn your mixture s***w out one turn and see if it does it. if it dont fix it you will need to up the pilot jet one size.

  2. your bike is running to lean try cleaning the airfilter and reoiling it if this does not  work try adjusting the air/fuel mixture s***w if still does it the carb jetting will have to be changed

  3. get rid of it and buy a polaris

  4. My sisters Honda Recon does that when u let off the throttle...might require slight jetting or cleaning the air filter.

  5. its sucking air on the clamp between the carb and the head
