the auditions for Lily Evans for the last Harry Potter movie are probaly going to start soon. im 13 and i wanted to play lily evans when she is at the train station,in the train, and at the house sorting in hogwarts.

1. do you need to be from the UK?

2. if we are not from the UK could we fly over for the auditions?

3. is 13 the right age for the part i want to play?

4. do i have to dye my hair red myself or will the make up and hair designers do that for me if i ge the part?

5. If we have to live in england, can we go over for a couple months before the auditions and buy a house there for it to be like a vacation house or something like that, would that be okay because we would live in the UK?

6. Do you have to have a british accent?

i really want to try. Please tell me. no negetive things like

"who cares about that anyway"

or

"why would you want to fly the whole way over to england for a part you might not get"

please help me.

  1. i have found a true website about the auditions and the auditions are in uk and you need to be from there. they will ask for your card to prove your from britain. im srry

  2. 1, no you don't as long as you can pull off a good natural english accent.

2, yes you could, and sometimes when auditioning for large movies they have more than one audition, in different places.

3, it isn't the age that matters it's if you look young/old enough to pull off the part. It all depends on the directors vision.

4, I wouldn't do anything to your hair until your certain you have the part, because when you do the director will instruct you on what to do.

5, You don't have to live in england, it's fine.

6, yes you do, it doesn't have to be your actual accent but you need to be able to pull one off well.

Do you have an agent? because it is very difficult to land a major part without one.

Just go up there and you'll be instructed on what to do.

  3. Would you like us to go over and actually do the audition for you?  You have Internet access, do your own research.

Ask your parents for help, because if they're not behind you, no passport, no plane ticket (upwards of $600 apiece), no work visa, no nothing.

Acting is a hard business, so if you want to hear "no negetive things", find a different career choice, stat.

And listening to the 14 year old who has done a handful of commercials is not considered professional advice.  She knows nothing about the business, but if her parents post, that might be useful information.

PS Unless your English accent is flawless, forget it.

  4. alot of questions!

1)I'm afraid i think so.J.K Rowling has an agreement with warner bros that the actors will be british (apart from victor.krum as he isn't in the book) i'm not sure check anyway

2)You'll find out when they start advertising auditions

    3)" " "

4)Don't concerntrate on that right now, you'll find that out if you get the role

5)If you land the role and you arent a resident her then you probably would have to get accomadation here

6)Yes.It wouldn't work if Lily had an american accent would it?

*You need to get into a drama club to find out more. Its hard you're after a certain role and don't live here otherwise you could subscribe to the stage.Do some research and write to the directors
