AUSTRALIANS: does anyone know about an old maternity hospital in Invermay, Launceston in Tasmania?

we have been told that the house we live in was an old maternity hospital quite a few years ago but I'm not sure where to find out information. any ideas??

Try checking the archives office, there are references to a few hospitals that are now closed and in particular the Queen Victoria Maternity Hospital - http://search.archives.tas.gov.au/

or maybe contact the council, they would have records of the history of the city - http://www.launceston.tas.gov.au/upload/...
