AVCHD? miniDV?

which would you prefer to get cams that record on ACVHD or miniDV? and what's the difference between the 2?

The key difference is that AVCHD is HD, and miniDV is not. To see the difference, go to a Best Buy and ask them to show you what HD channels look like on an HD set, compared to standard-def channels.

So AVCHD will give you superior picture, but it's more of a mess to transfer and edit.
