AVG Free Anti Virus: Is it Real?

I read somewhere that AVG is a good, legit, free anti virus but does anyone know about it? I dont want to download it if its actually a trojan!

Try some of these.

Yes, its free, yes its legit, no it isn't as good as Avast's free anti-virus offering.

AVG is a good  free anti virus, but before you use any free anti virus or any anti virus at that you have to check the memory capacity.

I am a user of avg but i must say to you that avg has a problem, first avg has two version that i know of  1- Avg 7.5 and Avg 8.0. and i have used both i will recommend avg 7.5 but unfortunatly is expiring this month and version 8.0 is on board.

But 8.0 is very slow and it take too much memory on your pc which will eventually slow your pc down.  Now let me break down both for you   1: 7.5------------- Avg 7.5 take 2.2mb ram when on idle and it scans your system daily the good part i like about it is that you can still be working while it scans.

2: 8.0------------------Avg 8.0 takes 38mb on idle, and 80mb when scaning as you can see thats alot and the worst part is you can hardly do your work while on scan because the system becomes so slow and some programes fail to respond.

I am not discouraging you about it, but i am sharing my experience with it but if you want a free and memory low anti virus i will recommend that you check out (AVIRA ANTI VIRUS) i use it now and it works for me, but if you want an anti virus that you can purchase contact me and i wil send you free license key to activate it  GOOD LUCK

AVG is a legit free anti virus..

But it is no where near as good as say:

kaspersky

Its not a trojan, depending on where you download it.
