AVG-VDP1 (vehicle dynamics proccesor) HELP PLEASE??

hey.. i was just wondering if an avg-vdp1 form america will work in australia?? i just read a few forums and some ppl mentioned something about not running properly if u buy it from another country.. is this true??

i have a Pioneer AVH-P5750DVD player..

Hi

I had a avg-vdp1 sold to me from here in Australia, when it was set up in my car it kept trying to find a GPS signal. This went on for days, and there was still no GPS signal.

What I found out was the unit sold to me came from America, and any part of the unit, that uses the GPS,  which is a lot, didn't work because they encoded it to work in only  the country that it is originally sold in.

Once I put the Australian sold unit into my car, it found a GPS signal in around 10 seconds, and worked fine from then on.

So the only avg-vdp1units that work properly here in Australia have a SPEC NO. /ES marked underneath the unit. The American units are marked with a SPEC NO. /US and are absolutely useless to us Aussies.
