  1. AVG still has its problems:

Up to V7.5 it was pretty good but V8 sucks.....I prefer Avast, samller file size, better scans and detection rates.

If you want to saty with AVG uninstall and then reinstall from:

Avast anti-virus better definitions, anti-spyware and anti-rootkit built in, faster and more reliable:

    Setup Guide:

Example from Avast and AVG Free v. Paid,

  2. Supposedly the .bin issue has been fixed, try telling them manually to update now rather then wait for auto-update. If that doesn't work, then for AVG Free Anti-virus you can try this:

    1. Create a folder on your computer somewhere.

    2. Download the AVI and IAVI files from the site below into the folder you made.

    3. Open AVG and choose Tools|Update from directory...

    4. Select the directory you put the two files in and click OK to update.

    5. After that's done, then tell AVG again to update just to make sure. (Tools|Update or right click the tray icon.)

  3. Get rid of AVG it's trash. Avast is better and free. I suggest you get Nod32 or kaspersky antiviurs
