AVI videos in Sony Vegas?

Whenever I put my AVI movies into sony vegas only the sound sounds up. Help?

Your video has to be something your Vega is capable of. If your TV was made after 2001 it should be able to handle all HDTV options, including 640 x 480, 720 x 1200, both interlaced and progressive. Also, it should handle 1080 x 1920 interlaced, and if it's only a year or two old, 1080 x 1920 progressive also.
