AZ Alkmaar’s Gertjan Verbeek certain about the departure of Kolbeinn Sigthorsson’s – Eredivisie news
Gertjan Verbeek, AZ Alkmaar manager, has revealed that he is certain that Kolbeinn Sigthorsson would be leaving his side to join Ajax Amsterdam in the coming days. The 21-year-old striker has remained on the Amsterdammers’ radar since the 2010/11 season
concluded.
The Icelandic International performed impressively in the recently concluded campaign, scoring 15 goals in 32 appearances. His good performances did not go unnoticed as a host of elite European clubs have taked keen interest in the striker.
Ajax, however, remain the favourites to land his signature in the ongoing summer transfer market with their constant approach to AZ management. The Amsterdammers recently tabled their third bid for the Icelandic International’s services and reports suggest
