“NAC played the match with a defensive strategy. They defended properly throughout the game. We were trying to move forward, but their midfield and back-line certainly played a dominant role. They deservingly secured a point”, Verbeek concluded.
Despite the goalless draw, AZ remain unmoved at the summit of the Eredivisie table, a lone point ahead of the second placed Ajax Amsterdam.
