PSV Eindhoven are in the market for a midfielder and they have reportedly set their sights on AZ Alkmaar midfielder, Stijn Schaars. The 27-year-old midfielder is pleased to hear of interest from one of his favourite clubs, as the Dutch International earlier
desired to play at Philips Stadion.
Reports suggest that the Boeren midfielder, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Bursaspor-c38700, are taking keen interest in signing the 31-year-old midfielder in the
upcoming summer transfer window, paving a way out for the veteran midfielder. PSV management eyes the AZ midfielder as an ideal replacement for Engelaar.
The 27-year-old midfielder admits that PSV are one of the top clubs in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Netherlands-c753 and believes that playing at Philips Stadion would surely be a step forward in his career.
“I have always said that PSV and Ajax are the only two Dutch clubs that I consider to be a step forward from AZ.” Schaars said.
The 27-year-old midfielder joined AZ in the 2005/06 season after making 44 appearances for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Vitalô-c40903 player in the squad. The Dutch International has scored six goals while adding
a plethora of assists in 100 league appearances.
The Dutch International believes that playing with one of the top clubs is extremely challenging as good clubs are always looking challenge for silverware. The player believes that PSV and Ajax Amsterdam are two top clubs playing in the Dutch top tier.
“You really have to win matches at those two clubs. You have to win trophies when you play for Ajax or PSV or your season will be a failure. I am at a point in my career where I want to experience this pressure.” Schaars expressed his opinion.
The 27-year-old midfielder is impressed with the Boeren and was overjoyed when PSV contacted his club to acquire his services.
