Roomate likes giving her under 21 bro and his under 21 friends alcohol. I live in the same place although not on the lease. Ontop of buying beer by the case, they also drink here (beer and alc) and then leave midnight-1am. Said I was having nothing to do with it...is there a way to relieve myself of responsibility of this stupidity without calling the cops next time or moving? Im 26, so is the guy thats on the lease (her bf). AZ statutes say its OK to give a minor alcohol if a direct family member, but I dont think they cover irresponsibility like this? And would blame fall on the guy leasing the property instead of just her if something bad (death, injury, fight, etc) happened after they leave?

Since I have beer in the fridge and hard alcohol in the house myself, is this a bad situation to be in?

  1. Not sure about AZ but I have known of situations where parents throw parties, a young lady overdoses or drinks too much, then their is a lawsuit and the parents are trying to keep from losing their house...  If you don't call the cops, not sure how you can resolve it.  However, you need to lock your stuff up and not partake in anything like that, or you can lose a whole lot.  The drinking age is a simple formula concocted after years of research...   Underage + Alcohol = tremendous irresponsibility, stupidity, damaged property,  lost lives etc etc;...
