The Swedish midfielder has been heavily linked with a move away from the Eredivisie outfit this summer, but the 24-year-old has stressed that he will not rush into any potential move.
AZ Alkmaar midfielder, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Rasmus-Elm-c30628, has made it clear that he will not make any decision regarding his future before Euro 2012.
The Swedish midfielder is regarded as one of the best free-kick takers in Europe. His phenomenal performances for the past couple of seasons have garnered him interest from a host of top flight clubs including the likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429, Manchester
United and Bayern Munich.
However, the 24-year-old has insisted that he will not decide about his future before the European Championship while adding that it is also not certain that he will leave his side this summer.
“I say to all the clubs: I will wait until after the European Championship. I hope to make a new step in my career, but it is far from certain that I will leave this summer. I feel good at AZ”, Elm was quoted as saying to Voetbal International.
The midfield ace, who arrived at AFAS Stadion in the summer of 2009 after representing http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Kalmar-FF-c39661 in 96 appearances, has thus far donned the jersey of the Alkmaar outfit in 81 matches, and has managed to add his name to the score-sheet on 29 occasions.
The technically gifted midfielder has an ongoing contract at AFAS Stadion that runs until the summer of 2013. Elm has admitted that pressure and media attention is far greater in other European clubs as compared to a Dutch top tier side.
