interest in signing the highly-rated left-back this summer.
The Amsterdam giants are in the market to lure a quality left-back to Amsterdam Arena before the start of the 2011/12 campaign. Despite De Joden head coach, Frank de Boer, managed to lead his side to Eredivisie triumph this term,
he faced immense problems at the left-back position.

Poulsen, who is a regular at AFAS Stadion, was being targeted by the Dutch mentor, and earlier reports even indicated that the Danish International has reached an agreement to join the Dutch giants this summer on a free transfer.
However, Poulsen has now mooted all speculations linking him with a summer move to the Eredivisie champions.
“I have spoken with Frank de Boer, and there is certainly no offer yet. Everything is going perfect at AZ. Ajax is a step higher? Maybe if you compare then Ajax is bigger, but not in terms of football. AZ played had a brilliant
2011/12 season. We were in contention for the title throughout the season, but our poor showings in the final weeks cost us at the end”, Poulsen was quoted as saying to Voetbal International.
The 27-year-old has an expiring contract at AFAS Stadion that runs until the summer of 2012. However, the club management is expected to offer the defender an extension to his current contract in the coming days.
