Aaaargh!!! Neighbours tom cat spraying :(?

It sprays my back door, my front door..... my house reeks! Why me? My female cat lives outside, and is desexed... how can i get the tom to STOP spraying? How can I get rid of the smell?

i've heared cats HATE TCP try that to keep him away.

as for the smell, vinegar and water migh work..

We have a tom that does exactly the same, we got to female which had the snip. You cant really make them stop spraying. They mostly do it around this time of year when they are on heat and letting everyone else they are.

Tell your neighbor that this is happening and get them to control your animal. If they won't then call animal control to get the cat removed. You can't physically get the cat to stop and since it's not yours you can't take him to the vet to have him checked, so talk to your neighbor about this. If they won't do anything, call animal control to handle the situation, the cat is a nuisance so they can technically take him away (he's probably doing this because he's not neutered). In the mean time, try keeping your cat indoors to help the problem. As for getting rid of the smell, use a pressure washer with some really good disinfectant or other cleaning products. Good luck :)

this is going to sound crazy, but i swear to you that it worked for me once. my roomates cat used to sneak into my room and spray my "fresh  from the laundrymat " laundry. he even went as far as jumping on my bed while i was making out with someone and spraying right there.

i gave him a warning that if i saw him in my room spraying one more time, that i would pee on him. needless to say i caught him minuts later. i grabbed him and walked him upstairs to our stand up shower and totally peed on him. after that i threw him outside and he never ever sprayed my stuff ever again.

needless to say all my roomates thought i was a phsyco and asked me to move out. but in your case, noone has to know.
