Aaqib is satisfied with the performance of the rest of the team, especially the bowling line-up, which impressed one and all in the mega event. The former cricketer wants the Pakistani batsmen to raise their game and develop the ability to adjust to changing circumstances.
“The rest of the team is good. Our bowling – especially the pace attack – was up to the mark. Our batsmen failed to sustain pressure and cope with changes in conditions. Coaches need to work on these areas,” he added.
Between 1989 and 1998, the former player from Sheikhupura represented his country in 22 Tests and 163 One Day Internationals. He was also a part of Pakistan’s 1992 World Cup winning squad.
