Aaron Ramsey Delighted To Be Back

Aaron Ramsey, the Arsenal midfielder, said he was delighted to be back playing for the Gunners after suffering a horrific broken leg last season. About nine months ago, the 19 year old fractured his leg after an illegal challenge by Ryan Shawcross of Stoke
City.
The talented youngster had just begun to play for Arsenal when the injury occurred and he had to be sidelined for almost a year. This came as a huge blow for the player and the fans and there were rumors that Ramsey would never return from the injury.
However, Ramsey recovered and was back playing. He played for the Arsenal reserve team on his return and is now on loan to Nottingham Forest to get some practice. He is set to return to Arsenal in the upcoming January transfer window.
Ramsey is making progress at Nottingham Forest; the player featured for the side as a substitute and played a full 30 minutes. There is a strong possibility that he could start for Nottingham Forest against Bristol City over the weekend.
Ramsey said while speaking to reporters, “I’ve been out for a long time and just to be out there and playing again made me realize how much football means to me. I’ve missed a lot of the year, but it was so good to be back in the swing of things.”
The player was grateful to his friends and family who helped him through the injury, he said,
“Obviously the first two months after the injury were the hardest; I couldn’t really move much, although I was encouraged to try to get on my feet. My friends and family helped me get through it.”
The Arsenal player was determined to give his all for his temporary side, Nottingham Forest, he said,
“I’m here to get back to 100% and hopefully win as many games for Forest as possible. I want to try and get them going in the right direction.”
He was confident about his return and felt that he would soon be back to his old self, he continued,
“I felt alright and I’m still a way off playing 90 minutes, but my fitness is coming along nicely. I’ve been out for nine months and these are what these games are for.”
