However, it was Arsene Wenger’s second half substitutes that went on to really mix things up for the team and helped the North London club pick up all three points.
Aaron Ramey came on in the second half and went on to shoot from some twenty yards out, as he saw his effort bounce off both the post, before rolling into the back of the net.
Following the goal from Ramsey, the game seemed to be heading into a one all draw, with everyone believing the team would drop two vital points.
In stoppage time at the end of the second half, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Thierry-Henry-c34918 was present at hand to dart forward and side foot the ball into the back of the net.
As a result of that goal in the last few seconds of the game, Arsenal went on to pick up the win and climbed back into the top four.
Ramsey, who is highly delighted by the way http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 played, is quoted to have said: “We had a meeting last week about doing well for the rest of the season and one of the points that came to us was to never give up in the game. That was the case against
Sunderland, and we showed it against Aston Villa too. “
“We have good team spirit here and belief that we can still win the game. It was nice for me to get on the scoresheet as well as Thierry getting the winner.”
The midfielder also went on to admit that Henry’s return to the club had been rather spectacular and that he definitely went out in style.
“It's been a fantastic period for him coming back to the Club he supports and has done so much for. It's a great story for him so far.
