Aaron Ramsey urges Arsenal to spend in the summers – Premier League Update
Arsenal midfielder and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Aaron-Ramsey-c3065 has gone on to state that the Gunners are going to have to spend in the summers, if they hope to win anything this coming term. The player also went on to add, that him, along
with his team-mates had a lot of pressure ridding on their shoulders, considering Arsenal had not won any silverware for six years.
This season started off rather well for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429, the team was in contention to win as many as four trophies at one point in the season. The Champions League, the FA Cup, the Carling Cup and the Premier League, all looked achievable
at one point in time. However, suffering a very shocking last minute defeat to Birmingham City in the finals of the Carling cup, saw a series of implosions take place and ultimately resulted in the Gunners not landing any trophy and finishing in the fourth
spot in the league table.
As a result of this poor end to the season, a number of fans have gone on to point fingers at Arsene Wenger and the Gunners squad. They have also gone on to state, that perhaps the team and the manager just aren’t good enough to bring
in any trophies.
Ramsey, who made his comeback to the squad this term, following a long lay-off due to a broken leg, has admitted that the pressure has started to mount in the Emirates. This pressure, has however not managed to break anyone’s spirit
– as yet.
When talking about the situation that Arsenal are in at the moment, Ramsey is quoted to have said: "Obviously we haven't won anything for a long time. The pressure has grown and the fans have been quite vocal lately.”
"But the spirit in the dressing room is the same as always. Everyone gets on with each other so there is nothing wrong with the team spirit.”
Ramsey then went on to drop some major hints regarding the summer transfer window, as he stated that the team had already started listing down players, who could potentially be bought in the summers.
"I'm sure there will be changes like any other season but I expect Arsene will be active in the transfer market.
"There have already been a few names mentioned and I am sure there will be a few players in and out."
From the looks of things, this poor season has resulted in Arsene Wenger finally learning to mend his ways. Which if proven to be true, could ultimately lead to Arsenal finally living up to their true potential and reaping in the trophies,
year-in and year-out.
Nonetheless, it is now going to be a wait for the transfer window to open, to see just who Wenger brings in to try and change things around the Emirates.
