http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Wales-c3041 after suffering a horrendous tackle in February 2010.
The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ryan-Shawcross-c31996 tackle ruled him out of action for 13 months. Ramsey has now recovered from a double fracture on his left leg and is looking forward to making a return.
The Welsh international believes that the injury came at the wrong time, just when he was settling himself as a first team regular in the Arsenal side. He is amazed by a wonderful breakthrough season his fellow Gunner Jack Wilshere has had in the ongoing
2010-11 campaign.
“I have had moments when I have looked at what Jack Wilshere has done and thought, ‘That could be me’,” said Ramsey. “I thought before my injury I was just starting to kick on. I had started six or seven games on the bounce and felt like I was going to stake
a claim for a place in the starting XI for Arsenal. But these things happen. I’ve just got to bounce back now. I’m confident in my ability and that I’m capable of playing week-in, week-out for Arsenal. I’ve had about 10 starts since I’ve been back, so I feel
good and I’m ready to go again and prove to people what I’m capable of doing.”
He continued to praise Wilshere and said that he has done a tremendous job for the Gunners in the ongoing season. He believes that the loan spell at Bolton Wanderers in the previous season helped the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 international a great deal in his development.
The former Cardiff City international believes that his recent loan spells at Nottingham Forest and Cardiff will help him a great deal to stake his claim back in the Arsenal team. He has put the injury on his back and is looking towards the future only.
Ramsey has made 28 appearances for Arsenal since his 5-million-pound move from Cardiff City in 2008 and is relishing the opportunity to play for Wales against Wilshere’s England side when the two teams meet at the Millennium stadium.
