We all try and make our mind up about who the murderer is from the Media reports that we see or read. These are mostly hyper exaggerated in search TRP or sale. The reporters usualy are people who have very little knowledge about Forensic investigations. Are we not wrong in judging the casesfrom their reports?Shouldn't be there some ethical restriction on the Media too?

  1. It was one month back when the CBI had taken up this sensational Aarushi-Hemraj Murder case as a person of legal fraternity had replied a question posted in Yahoo Answers, the link to that question & my answer is >>> http://in.answers.yahoo.com/question/ind...    When you read my reply posted there a month back I had given my frank opinion on the various issues very briefly, specially one with regard to holding her father accused of these murders. The thing I said more then one month back was what the CBI told the world two days back. The role of TV media was also I briefly discussed in my answer & had stated that today's T.V. media is behaving more intelligent then even the investigating agencies but like the judiciary. The T.V. media has appointed foolish correspondents who start behaving as if they as some sort of qualified police officials or lawyers or forensic scientists & try to analysis the case from their own point of view. The CBI through its chief investigating officer had clearly mentioned that after the lie detecting test of Dr. Talwar two times nothing conflicting/inconsistent was found in all his statements, that could make then go for further such scientific test including the Narco-anaylsis test on him, this fact was categorically explained by this official to the press & T.V. media, but just after few minutes I found one of the T.V. person asking this very question to , the lawyer of Dr. Talwar as well, Ex Senior Delhi Cop as well Ex CBI Director & insisting that by not inflicting this Narco-anaylisis test on Dr. Talwar & his wife the CBI has done discrimination in this case knowing well that both Dr.Talwar & his wife were Medical Professional could control their Blood Pressure level to detect their erratic behavior on the graph while answering some question which could be detected as telling lie in this lie detecting test. I want to ask this T.V. correspondent firstly both Dr.Talwar & his wife are Dentist by profession & not Medical Graduate, secondly even if they are person of medical profession how can any person control his or her blood pressure which is more based on the chemical reaction in the body being controlled by the brain through automatic nervous system not manually by the person him/herself. I'm not a Medical Graduate & any Medical Graduate can explain this whole phenomena in details but as a law graduate & practicing lawyer I know that it is not possible for any one to go undetected while telling lie during this test, the person may go scoot free may be one or two times but not always. He should mind there is no person so perfect that he or she can tell lies constantly & go without being detected. I could very well make out from the interview of one of the close relative of one of the other accused that that lady was telling lie on T.V. Camera in the same T.V. show. A person who tells lie need not have to go through this test; expert lawyers during examination of any person as witness get the truth out in presence of the presiding officer/judge. This is not the only incident, but the whole reporting being conducted by T.V. media shows their childish behavior. One T.V. channel shows one of its female T.V. correspondents playing the role of deceased Aarushi & expressing the happiness of her father, Dr. Talwar getting bail in the case. What all this shows? Another very important point I want to bring in here, one of the senior T.V. correspondent of AajTak who was showing his utter excitement during the U.P. Police investigation days even brought in a private detective on T.V. & asked him to do the investigation which U.P. Police has failed to do was thrown out from AajTak got a job in Star News soon to continue the same drama there too. What all is going on with these T.V.Channels? I feel when a law enforcement agency (CBI) is investigating the case which was badly spoiled by the previous law enforcement agency (U.P.Police) what the bloody h**l all these T.V. & press media poking their nose in this serious matter. The Judicary, the lawyer fraternity & other law enforcement agencies are there to handle issues like this as they are qualified for doing these jobs not the T.V. & Press media. The T.V. & Press media should mind their job of reporting news & not investigating or passing judgment on any new relating to any legal case, let our judiciary do that work for which they have been appointed by the government/President of India. Hope some all those press & T.V media people reading my reply will understand their duties toward the public is to supply news & not to pass judgments on legal cases.
