Does scrunching forward while riding a bike strengthen your lower abs?

  1. the only thing that will strengthen your abs is exercise.  with cycling you want to focus on the lower abs. yoga is great for buiding core strength, which will really improve your ability on the bike.


  2. not really, it mostly stretches out your back. tightening your core on steep climbs will help though

  3. you've actually got it backwards.  The more you strengthen your abs with regular exercise (a full workout, not just crunches) will make you a stronger cyclist and help you avoid injury in nearly every sport.

  4. lol uhh.. are you sitting or standing? i'm thinking your sitting. and uhh.... if you dont feel at least a slight burn, no.
