Can someone tell me the name and place of the palace (or was it a temple, mansion or other?) in India?

From what I remember (and what I think I remember):

- it is very large and covers acres of land

- it is very old

- it belonged to a king or a prominent person

- it is abandoned

- nobody, not even tourists visit this place since it is not safe

- it has many huge snakes living it and monkeys on top of the roofs

- it's brown since it is made of mud and rock

- it is covered in trees and shrubs and has a large tree growing out from the inside

It's a bit like the palace in the film The Jungle Book (1994).

  2. I don't know the temple you are talking about but Kerela is one of the biggest areas for snake worshippers so could be a good place to start, they also hold the snake boat races there every year.

Just to give you an idea how big india is it took me 36hrs non stop on a train from Delhi to Goa and thats half the country. Can you narrow it down a bit?

  3. Just email Indiana Jones he might tell you.
