Dogs are amazing *people*.  There are so many great tales about our four legged friends.

It's a shame the girl couldn't or wouldn't trust humans with the birth of her baby, now that's sad.

It's  powerful thing that mother love stuff isn't it?

I get pains in my chest when I hear ANY baby cry, just a compulsion to try and stop the upset.

Which might explain why I end up with all the kids in our road in my bleedin' house....

My cat used to bite my feet when my now 11 yo cried as a baby..and it was a tom cat...maybe it's not just us women eh?

That is the sweetest thing I have heard in ages! My dalamatian kids on that she is jealous of our one year old (turned 1 today!!!!!), but when she thinks we arent looking, she gives her a kiss or  tries to give her a paw. When I was in labour last year, she also cuddled up beside me and put her head on my bump as I was having contractions. So it just goes to show you that they most certainly do have mothering instincts. X
