  1. none  and i don't think that

  2. None of the above. When I was born, there was no support, either by the community or family, for single unwed mothers. My mother had no choice.

People think some babies or children are stolen, because  sometimes they are.

    ETA: Thanks Gersh. Dude!

And good luck with your paper Surfnerd

  3. I was RESCUED from a perverted, disgusting, man who called himself my "dad" and a woman who did nothing to stop it.

So I guess to answer your question, I was none of those things.  I was saved from a life of h**l.

  4. i believe babies are stolen, but by sick people.what about where the lady cut the baby out of the mother and stole it.i was adopted, but through family, but it was legal.i never liked being adopted

  5. My children were legally relinquished and their birthmother made an informed decision.

Some children adopted internationally are stolen or trafficked.  Mine were not and I know this for certain.

  6. Hi Surfnerd,

Actually I WAS stolen as a toddler and subsequently illegally adopted.  Other members of my family were as well.  Mother never knew about adoption, let alone give consent to it.

That does not mean I think all children are stolen.  Don't kid yourself though; there are still many shady practices continuing in adoptionland today.  Thanks for asking.

  7. ABANDONED.

    it was horrible.

please dont ask me anything else about it.

  8. I was abandoned by my married parents.

Some children ARE stolen, but I wasn't.

  9. I was Abandoned and I agree with Elizabeth, being Abandoned SUCKS'

I wish I was stolen it would ease this hole in my heart

  10. I was stolen.

I never thought I was until I received my paperwork.

The agency lied, stole and cheated me away from my mother.

They terminated her rights in an emergency court session without notifying her.

They made me their ward in one county while my adoption went through in another and didn't tell my adoptive parents.

They fleeced me as an infant for child support from the state that they pocketed themselves and never gave my guardians who eventually became my adoptive parents a single penny.

It's been quite a blow to learn that all the good things I thought about adoption were untrue in my own case.

    Yep.  I was stolen.

  11. My son was taken from his mother, I am sure some will say he was taken (stolen) but the truth is her children were in the system for almost 7 years.  She had seven years to get her life together but she just kept having babies and each time they gave her a chance and each time she lost them.  So to her she thinks she did no wrong, but under the eyes of the law she was not fit to be a parent.  (Drug, alcohol, flithly living conditions, no food, no job, car, insurance).  The sad thing is she was really smart had a college scholarship, but choose a life of trouble.

Then she went 19 months without seeing them, calling or writing.  She would not show on her weekly visit and in this state if you go 12 months that is abandonment.

As for the sperm donor, he ran out on her after baby was born, denied baby, had test taken, established as father and he signed his rights away.  So he gave my son away.

  12. I was not stolen, I was relinquished. My son was not stolen, I knew where he was, he was relinquished due to force and coercion.

My adad is also an ndad and his first daughter was stolen. Her natural mother was told she died at birth, the Dr then placed her with a family he knew was looking to adopt. Her aparents never knew she wasn't legally relinquished and her nparents were never told she was alive. Imagine the emotions running through my family when this dead baby appeared on the doorstep a very much alive and grown up young woman.

  13. Its a myth

  14. I wasnt abandoned, stolen or given away.

  15. i was stolen and taken to a alien UFO.  there i was raised as a child and brought to the planet of jrzdgh after 5 years and now?? im using a window and a potato to get connection from earth..im using some sorta program called "internet"..

  16. I'll play.

I was surrendered to adoption based on an uninformed decision by my mother.

  17. My mother gave birth to me. And I don't think that babies are stolen, abandoned or given away. I was pregnant with my daughter for 42 weeks... and I am 100% sure that I gave birth to her. Thanks!

  18. My children were taken by the state and placed into foster care so I believe that they were Taken from an unwilling--unable--unsafe parent....  Maybe some would say this is "stolen" but I would be hardpressed to see it that way.....

  19. I wasn't stolen, but some people were.  No one doubts kidnapping exists.  Why are people reluctant to believe a kidnapping occurred if an adoption followed?  To deny a kidnapping, whether an adoption followed or not, is to deny justice for the victims of the kidnapping.

Simply reading the newspapers will show that there are children who have been/are kidnapped and illegally adopted.   Why do people want to recoil from these newspaper accounts simply because adoptions occurred at some point after the kidnapping?  If all of these very same children had been kidnapped, but no mention of the word 'adoption' appeared in the news accounts, I don't believe anyone would doubt the validity of these accounts one bit.

The historical account of the career of Georgia Tann clearly states that she kidnapped babies, right here in the U.S., and illegally placed them for adoption.  Books and movies have been made about this woman who, in conjunction with a crooked judge or two, ran a black market adoption ring that included actually kidnapping children.

Yes, these are ugly truths that perhaps no one WANTS to believe.  However, the world is made of human beings.  There are some human beings who will bring corruption into any institution.  I can see where this is a bitter pill to swallow, but why is it so hard to believe when the accounts are laid out before us?

Theresa gave a good listing of URL's for newspaper accounts about children kidnapped and placed for adoption on the black market.

  20. Because sometimes, for some of us, it is just too painful to emotionally justify how their our birthmother could willingly relinquish us.  And, because, for some of us birthmothers, in hindsight, it is too hurtful or embarassing to justify how we could willingly reliquish a child.  Memory gets clouded, or influenced or even changed, by our guilt, the guilt thrust upon us by others, or by the judgement of others.  Some of us try to escape some of that pain by (mostly unknowlingly) assuming more of a victim role.

  21. very few are stolen. maybe 1 in 1,000 abandend and given away is basicly what a adoption center is.

  22. stolen
