Abate eyeing UEFA Champions League success with A.C Milan: Serie A news
A.C Milan defender, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ignazio-Abate-c16673, believes his team can defend the Serie A title in the upcoming campaign but his main aim is to win the UEFA Champions League next season.
The full-back believes that the squad is complete and has the quality to beat any top side in the world. Milan have had a torrid time in the European competitions for the past three seasons, as they have not managed to go beyond
the first knockout round.
Abate admitted that knowing the fact that his team is the second most successful club in the competition’s history makes him more hungry to win the trophy. The 24-year-old claimed that sometimes he feels jealous after knowing that
some of his team-mates have won so many competitions in the past.
Talking to the reporters Abate said, "I have big ambitions with Milan, I have won little here compared to some of my team-mates.  We want to win more Serie A titles and we want to realise our dream of winning the Champions League.
We have a great group of players, some who have won plenty, but we all still have the desire to win."
