Leicestershire thrashed Worcestershire by considerable margin of 19 runs in a match of the Friends Life T20 match on June 25, 2011. The match was played at

Leicestershire got off a reasonable start of 36 runs. Both openers were going along well before Cobb was caught by Kapil off the bowling of GM Andrew, as Leicestershire lost their first wicket on 36 runs.
The next batsman was J du Toit, who came into the middle as the first-drop, but could not stay on the wicket for long and went back to the pavilion after being run out.
Similarly the next two batsmen could not score more than three runs and hence could not stay on the wickets. Leicestershire lost their first five wickets for just 58 runs.
However, a blistering partnership was built between Pakistani all-rounder, Abdul Razzaq and PA Nixon. It was a 54-run partnership.
Nixon played a blazing knock of 44 runs off 40 balls and smashed two boundaries and a six while Razzaq played a responsible knock of 20 runs off 25 balls and whacked two sixes.

The remaining batsmen could not cross the 10-run mark and the Leicestershire could only manage to score 151 for the loss of eight wickets, setting an average target for Worcestershire.
In pursuit of 152 runs, Worcestershire started their innings with their openers MM Ali and VS Solanki.
Worcestershire also got off a poor start and lost their first wicket on 18 runs. Only two of the Worcestershire’s batsmen could cross the 30-run mark, MM Ali and JG Cameron scored 32 and 36 respectively.
Worcestershire’s Skipper tried to take his team home safely and scored 23 runs but it was all too late and the side could only manage to score 132 for the loss of seven wickets, courtesy of Abdul Razzaq, who took two important wickets and remained the most
economical bowler amongst the Leicestershire lot.
