It is most likely that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) will make some changes in the domestic structure and the departments and the regional teams may play two different tournaments.
The Test cricketer appreciates the changes and hopes that more young players will come through the ranks and serve the country in future. The left-arm spinner maintains that the youngsters should use domestic cricket to polish their skills.
"I think the idea of separating the regions and departments is a good one, but the most important thing is that young players come through the system with the help of senior players in regional or departmental cricket in Pakistan," Abdur Rehman added. "You pick up those skills from a good standard of domestic cricket."
