So i was in there just browsing around for stuff and this girl walked to give the manager the application to work there and the manager acted very friendly and nice to her and after she left, the manager ripped up her application and told one of the sales workers "absolutely ridiculous...i don't even know what that girl was thinking. Who the h**l gave her the applications?", then the other worker giggled with her. Who else thought that was ****** up?I didn't know how rude they could be, just because she wasn't "beautiful" to them...such a shame. I feel horrible for the girl, what are your thoughts about this?

  1. i feel really bad for them. i mean just because you work at *abercrombie* the center of over priced clothes dosent mean your great or better than everybody else

  2. the reason why people are hired to work at abercrombie is because A) if they are a girl they are skinny and B) if they are a guy they are buff. regardless of the fact if they are helpful or not. they are basically modeling the clothes so that people will want to buy stuff when they walk into there stores. they see all the skinny girls and feel insupior, and want to look just like them, and they think that buying abercrombie clothes will help them. its a corrupt business and they don't care what happens to people so long as they get money. thats why you cant buy a tee shirt in there for under 35 dollars. that why i dont shop there. rude rude people, hu?

  3. Wow, That's mean.

When I go into abercrombie the employees are usually nice and helpful.

I worked at abercrombie when I was 16 (last year) and I liked it, no one was rude or anything. But I had to quit, because of the tons of homework and projects.

  4. that's sooo mean.

    /=

  5. **** abercrombie all that preppy **** they have always discriminated. besides they will all die one day like everyone else

  6. that is ******* up!!!!!

  7. That's mean.

    But it's their marketing scheme.

By hiring, "hot" employees, they attract other teenagers and tweens to buy clothes.

They think that if they wear the clothes, they'll be "hot" too.

  8. wow. that's TERRIBLE. it shouldn't matter how "pretty" they are, it should come down to there job skills. I would have gone up to the manager and told him off- that's just plain RUDE and HEARTLESS. now I really do feel sorry, that poor girl.

oh! maybe she'll get a job at hollister-- they always have really nice employees and cuter clothes in my opinion:]

  9. its not my problem, i only shop there. as long as they don't act rude to me while i shop there then i honestly don't care about how the employees, manager, etc. act any other time. its not gonna change my mind about the store or the people. its only certain managers and employees that are rude, and not all of them should be put under such a catagory if all of them aren't the same type of people. u have rude abercrombie employees, and you have helpful, nice employees, and thats just the way it is.

  10. i think that is not okay! in any way. its just awful, i cannot even believe it.

  11. yea well even though i do love their clothes employes might act really rude if you aren't thin and pretty...not neccesary blonde because sometimes i see asian, indian, and brunettes there

  12. they just think they are cool kids because they work there (which is no where special) they need to get over themselves ...ugh i hate people like that

  13. i know. even at ae.

i swear the staff are as charming as ropeburns. they just give off this vibe that makes your stomach churn at the thought of checking out.

and im pretty sure thats considered discrimination and whether its legal or not i dont know, but if i were you i would have told her so she could at least go back and retrieve her dignity.

  14. that's retarded. honestly, think of what the girl woudl have felt if she saw that. and doing it in public? ABSURD!

my sister gets offers to work at hollister all the time and i don't think she should.

  15. Well, ABercrombie and Hollister too, have a "rep" and they need " beautiful people" only to work there. Although everyone is beautiful in there own way, but looks count for them.

    answer mine please?

  16. I think it is ridiculous and that's exactly why I don't shop there and never have. They don't cater to people above a size 4 anyway, seriously. If you wear larger than a small or medium shirt size, they just laugh at you. I walked in there with my friend and we're both average size (about a size 8 pant and medium shirt) and these two male employees there just looked at us and then looked at each other and laughed. It was obvious that they were laughing at us, so we just left. You basically have to be a model in order to work there. I'm sure they would gladly take money from you when you purchase something of theirs but when you leave they will do exactly what they did to that girl you were talking about. They will just laugh at you like you are a complete joke.

So yeah, in my opinion, Abercrombie sucks. They are rude and they basically only cater to models. Their clothes are not any better than any other store so there's no point in wasting your money there.

Next time you see something like that happen, you need to approach the manager after she has done something so rude and tell her that you witnessed the entire thing and how you think it is unprofessional, childish, and rude and that you will never shop there ever again.

  17. i love abercrombie clothing and frangrance.

but most people who are stuck up work/shop there.

if your jean size is bigger then a 3 in abercrombie or hollister clothes you cant get a job there thou.

im not sure about guys sizes, but its probably like you cant be over a 32.

  18. they just think they're so special becuase they work at abercrombie

  19. they are just trying to be reputable, although i dont know why they are lower than a medium level retailer store lol. the manager should have waited, i would of played a joke like i got it on camera and made them give me something free
