The Frenchman recently spoke about his future objectives, and believes that he might return to footballing action till December.
Eric Abidal suffered a live tumour which has been keeping him out of action for about a season now.
During the 2010-2011 season, the club doctors publicly admitted that Eric Abidal was suffering from a liver tumour. However, the problem was cured and Abidal later played the Champions League final for the Catalan giants and helped them win it.
The very next season, Abidal started playing for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604, but soon had to be sidelined as the doctors said that the French defender is suffering from cancer.
It came out as a bad news for the footballing world; especially for Barcelona. The Spanish giants had to suffer a lot without their French counterpart, as they had to adjust at the back and Abidal was the only solid defender that they had.
With Abidal missing, Josep Guardiola had to play the Brazilian full-back, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Adriano-c3773, in his place and the former Sevilla man is definitely not the sort of player which La Blaugrana need in their first team.
During this summer transfer window, with Josep Guardiola gone, Tito Vilanova told the management that he will require two defensive players.
The first player was http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Jordi-Alba-c19111, who is considered to be a replacement for Eric Abidal.
However, the French defender recently gave out an interview in which he said that he might return to action before the coming December.
While speaking about his recovery and his return to the footballing world, Eric Abidal said:
"I am feeling good, better than three months ago, and I am following the course set out by the doctors. I have to take things slowly, the operation was quite difficult.”

"I have started to do a little work in the gym and I feel good, now I will continue and let's see if before December I can play on Barca's pitch.”

"That's the objective, if it happens later no problem, the goal is to return and it's a nice one for me."
Even with Jordi Alba in the Barcelona first-team, Eric Abidal’s return will definitely make the Catalans an even stronger side.
