Able Master tipped to succeed in JN Bentley´s 40th Anniversary Handicap
Able Master has got a great chance of shining in the JN Bentley´s 40th Anniversary Handicap at Newcastle in England on Friday, August 17, 2012. He has never raced at this venue before, thus the experience will be a new one for him.
The going has been described as good in the 7 furlong event, which will start at 15:35 GMT. The winner of the class-4 event will bag a cash prize of £4,075 in the end.
Looking at the recent performances of all participants, it is pretty much clear that the competition will be a tough one. There are a few runners, who have been delivering decent results over the past few races, thus it will be hard to predict the winner
accurately.
However, the bookies have given pretty decent odds to Discression, who is carrying the winning momentum right now. Although, he has managed to succeed just once in his career, his victory came at Newcastle, which means that he has got very good memories
from this track.
Despite that, it will not be an easy thing for the young colt to walk away with another win, as there are some strong challengers standing in his way right now. One of them will be Able Master, who has been priced 11 to 2 by the bookmakers. He is also in
pretty decent form at the moment and will attract a few bets from the punters today.
The six-year-old gelding has got some useful experience, as he has participated in a total of 33 events until now. His strike rate is not on the high side, but he has still done better to win five races in his career.
The David O'Meara’s trainee made an impressive start to his career in 2008, winning a couple of back-to-back races. He had a decent time during the next season as well, but struggled a lot during the previous two years.
However, things have turned out to be a lot more positive for the Irish runner this year. He has managed to win a couple of races and will be full of confidence. Both his victories in the ongoing season have come under jockey, Daniel Tudhope, who will once
again be partnering him today.
