  1. and? they will beat hawks anyway don't matter whos out

  2. there is no chance in h**l, of hawks winning this match. it should be an absolute thrashing. and even if hawks come close or even win this match, that doesn't mean they're gonna go further than the cats in the finals. because by then, ablett and ling will be playing

  3. both you mentioned are out, as they were last week, they will still beat the hawks.

Franklin will kick 3 to 5 goals i think. won't be enough though.

  4. I think the Hawks will win..

it's going to be a close match, but with out Ling and Ablett out, i cant see the Cats getting over the line...

I think Buddy will kick 5 or maybe 6 goals...

  5. Geelong will win, even though the Hawks could down almost any other team bar the Dogs.

Ablett is a cog in a wheel that is going almost perfectly at present, he will be missed but the question is not "will the Cats  win" but"by how much"

Ling is not a showy player, he does a lot of setting up but there are others who can cover for him for a few games.

I reckon the only team that could beat the Cats at present would be the All Australian one - except that a third of that is feline!

  6. Hawks have a better chance without Ablett and Ling but I still don't think they will get close.

  7. I still think Geelong will win. If they can thrash the Doggies, they can beat Hawthorn. As I have said, Geelong has so much depth that they can still function well as a team without some of their stars. Buddy has had a bit of a form slump lately, and I think because people built him up so much at the start of the year, everyone is expecting way too much from him. I'd say he'll kick 3 or 4 goals, but I don't think it'll be enought to get the Hawks over the line.

  8. Geelong will still win easy i think. Hawks are in a form slump(loosing to the saints) and just havent being playing well. Look what Geelong did to the bulldogs last week and they didnt have ling or ablett then either. I think Tom Harley will get the job on Jaryd roughhead but im not sure who will match up on franklin. It will probably be either Scarlett or Mackie. Maybe even milburn for a bit.Im tipping geelong by 30

  9. Really, I don't think Hawthorn have "it" to come out and beat Geelong. Geelong have a confidence aura about them, while Hawthorns aura is more arrogance than anything else.

They think they are top stuff but haven't really shown it yet.

It comes down to geelong being a well drilled team and Hawthorn relying too much on buddy.

  10. If Hawks play well they can win, We have a good record against the cats and was one of the few teams to beat them last year. Hawks need to win a big match like this to get some confidence back or they could be in trouble with some tough games to come this year.
