There are not many (if any) full blood aboriginals in Australia.Historically they were nomads living of the land. White settlement altered their lives to the degree that the Tasmania Aboriginal was wiped out entirely.The current Indiginous Australian either has integrated into todays lifestyle or lives in outback Australia under very deprived conditions. As to what they do, the same as the rest of us, we either work for a living or live of the State.It is a little sad that whilst most aborigines I know are happy to be called Australian ,we will always have the few that moan about just about everything, but then White/Migrant Australians do it to.

They're pretty cool people... I havent actually met any that are nice, unfortunately,but I know they are out there..

Ummm now or historically ???? They are historically hunter gatherers. Today, some of them still live a traditional lifestyle while others live the "typical" australian lifestyle. I think you should consult a dictionary or google it on the internet... goodluck !!

do yourself a favour and ignore the racist stereotyping, some of us Aboriginal folks are living everyday lives the same as other australians.  some of us don't even drink or abuse small children, although white australia seems to be doing their fair share of child sexual abuse of late.

Some live in the traditional way in the country  and some live in the cities.  

The aboriginal people I have met in my life have been lovely folk who take pride in their family and they have a different approach to life than most westerners.  If someone in their family or community needs something and you have it, it is shared willingly.  A lovely trait.

Well my man is Aboriginal and he works in the Aviation industry, yes, he has a good job, no he's not a drunk or any of the other disgusting things users have mentioned about the Aboriginal people here.

Like any race, there are ones that want to get ahead and work for a living.  Then, there are some that want the government to look after them.  Unfortunately the white man discovered Australia and interfered with the women, which produced a race that are confused and angry.

Just lately in the news, the government is trying to put a stop to alot of sexual abuse by young male Aborigines who set on the young girls who haven't even reached puberty and gang rape them. When they are given a home, they just wreck it and some are known to have camp fires in the middle of the lounge room floor, then wonder why the house burns down. Yes its true regarding alcohol abuse and there's alot of that happening and if they can't get their hands on Alcohol, they go to the shop and buy methylated spirits and drink that with orange juice until they are drunk.
