  1. No, all were hunter, gatherer. They did sometimes burn vegetation to stimulate new growth etc.


  2. Many DID practice basic forms of agriculture, from planting seeds and encouraging regrowth either from burning or firestick farming.  Some tribes had large tracts of river and estuary areas damned off for eel or fish farming (and trade).  

    More and more evidence is being discovered for this.

  4. All stone age hunter gatherers. They mostly lived in the nice wet coastal areas until Europeans drove them into the bush. They sometimes built small houses, and burnt off the land every few years, although wether this was to promote new growth, or stop there being fuel for mega wildfires, is debatable.Their technology was very basic.
