Abortion: why don't the mothers want to let the baby live?

Many later-term children could survive if taken out alive. So why not just do that?

maybe there scared they won't be able to provide anything for the child.  they also might not be ready to take that responsibility of having a child.  but, i think if there not ready to have a child then don't have s*x because there is always a chance that they will get pregnant.  ( i believe that mother's shouldn't have and abortion)

some mothers are way underage or dont have a family or husband and they just think that the baby will live it's life miserably but they are absolutely wrong. you can always put it up for adoption or put it in a foster home. any life is better than no life at all. i guess some people are ignorant or they just don't look at the facts and choose abortion.

If they have the child they will constantly be thinking of it because they know that its out there someone.  Some children grow up and want to find their parents but most parents dont want to be found.  Without giving birth to the baby its gone forever and they dont have the worry

Because of, you know, the stretch marks! Who's wants stretch marks from some sorry loser's b*****d child? I wouldn't and then there's that whole giving birth thing, who wants that? All that pain, pushing and sweating for a kid you don't want? Then, like later, years later after you've gotten rid of the kid and, you know like, moved on with your life, what if it comes around looking for you? Who wants to deal with that drama? Besides it's nothing more than a growth, you know, like a wart. It's eaiser to just get rid of it...

Late term abortions are now illegal.  There are many different reasons for abortions, not all of which involve women not wanting the babies.

I am not a physician, but I don't think a doctor would remove a viable fetus from a mother unless there was a medical reason to do so.  If you mean to ask why a mother would not just carry the child to full-term and give up for adoption...that's a tough question.

Guilt, fear, or ignorance?  Not wanting stretch marks?  

As a man, it would be tough to know what a pregnant woman goes through.  For a pregnant woman who does not want the resulting child, the emotional possibilities are even greater than for those who are happy about their pregnancy...

Its a tough one.  And, sadly, there are many couples who would love to adopt a healthy baby.
