About 2 days ago i found out i was related to the old royal family of france

i was wondering if it would be rude to like tell my friends my mom said it would be and i would be treated diffrent even tho me and my sister are barley related to them but liek still?

Many families can claim descent from royals.My family can claim descent from the royal houses of France,Spain and England.But claiming common ancestors is not the same thing as being in the direct line of descent.If you were in the direct line of descent you would ave already known your ancestry as would the rest of the world.

There is no need to share your information-and is your information from a professional genealogist?

You could ask your friends if they have ever traced their family trees,and if they have you could share your little tidbit,but don't expect to be treated like royalty!

I would think about very good, to who you would tell what you found out.  I can assure you most of the people will take it as a joke.

I can say this because of experience.

Some members of my mothers side are telling since the beginning of 1934 to their children that they are descendants of Louis Charles de Bourbon, which Royalists called him King Louis XVII.

Only a very close clan in the family knows about this, but they try to keep in very silent around it.

My mother herself, when she was young she talked about it at school, and everybody was ignoring her because of that.

One more thing, if you are sure about it, after investigating it, than you can give it another try to whom you will tell it.

If you want to know for sure, the only place where you can find the trued is in the church.

Yes. I heard that they matched some DNA from some old baskets near the old Guillotine.
