And are they far once I get off BART train?

Yes, there are bathrooms in every BART station (though there's no guarantee they will be clean or free of freaks). They're located on the same level as the ticket machines & attendant booths, usually street level or one level down from the street. In most cases you'll have to take the stairs, escalator, or elevator to get to them, but you won't have to exit the station.
