About Balik Bayan Visa?

Balik Bayan Visa is good for one year. Can I extent my visa without going out from the country? Please give me advice on this.

A Balikbayan is a Filipino term that means a citizen who has gone abroad and will go back to its country of citizenship. You wouldn't need a visa when you go back to your home country.

Not everybody knows about the Balik Bayan visa.  I'm also a foreigner married to a Filipina for 5 years now.  I have been getting the 2 month extensions all along until I just recently learned about it.  We're back in US now but next trip I'll ask for Balik Bayan stamp.  The people on here are mostly guessing about visas and regulations.  I wouldn't trust an answer on here about that topic. Its better if you call Phils immigration office to ask about that.  I do know that my friends who have permanent residence in Philippines have to "check in" every year at a local immigration office.
