About Christian Bale getting arrested...?

what my mom told me was that Christian Bale assault his mom and sister but why would he do that for?

Not sure whether this story is true or not.

could it be a " any publicity, is better than no publicity " sort of thing?

he does have a film out...............

AND ( here in the UK ) we are living in a Police State,

where ( as has already been mentioned, shouting at someone is considered an assault.

Same as taking their Photo, without permission, is also an assault )

so it could be he waved his arms around, shouted a few words & hence was arrested for assault.

blame the police?

every-ones a criminal, a terrorist or up-to-no-good, apart from them of course!

so why would christian bale do that?

In England, verbal assault is a crime, therefore it's not necessarily fact that he physically assaulted them, or even assaulted them at all.

As far as reports go, he was not close to his mother or his sister, and people believe that the complaint filed against Christian Bale was for verbal assault, as in he probably said some pretty terrible things to them. Most of this is speculation, but from what is known of his history with his mother and sister, he barely kept in touch with them, so the two are probably trying to take advantage of his current publicity associated with The Dark Knight. Bale is known for keeping quiet about his private life -- it seems unlikely he'd take advantage of an event like this to get in the press. It's a very unfortunate situation.

Also, he was not arrested, he voluntary went to the police to answer their questions about the accusations made against him.

He always looks so intense, and i watched him being interviewed on TV and his answers were monosyllabic at best and bizarre at worst. Perhaps he has an anger management problem.

Maybe so, but the cops over here love a soft target - i would hardly call charging a Hollywood star for shouting at someone a soft target - the time & paperwork involved would be mahoosive.

Strikes me (pun intended!) that the timing suggests that someone is after some free publicity - either Bale for his film 'no press is bad press', or his mother & sister for being left out of the high life their family member is living.

It will be interesting to see how this pans out - if it is attention seeking i expect it to die away

I doubt he hit them or anything like that - but you never know. One moment of rage can be regretted for a lifetime.

His sister asked him to lend her £100,000 and he refused.......I guess his Mum and sister didnt exactly like his answer and a row ensued.

Probably this is not the first time his sister had asked to 'borrow' money so.........

He is accused at this time, and not convicted.

The news said that the alleged assault was because of some old family grievances.

Bale says he is innocent, and has been released by the police.

He didn't hurt anyone.  He only got LOUD, which is evidently considered assault in London.    His mom/sis asked for money and then said bad things about his wife.   IMO they were asking for it.
