About Ema??????????????

Question

I'm starting college in September and I'm 16 I'll be 17 in November, I'm going to do a 2 year course Beauty therapy level 2 then level 3 but Ema is for 16-18 but when i m 18 in November will Ema stop when I'm 18 or till Ive finished the course?

No I started mine when I was 16 and im 18 in November as well and I will be getting it for the next College year. However you have to re-apply for it, I had to re-apply during summer for the following year as they have to check your still going etc. However there is less to fill out as they already have some details.

It will just end when you finish and go onto higher education or work and you wont re-apply

when you finish the course. It's 16-18 when you start the course, to rule out adults from getting it when they re-do a levels. You will be starting at 16 so you will get it till you finish your course.

I didnt get ema good enough because you have to be early everyday and stuff to get it. That does NOT suti be at all.

I should think you can keep getting that. You get it until you turn 19. But after that you can get something similar for adults

It will definitely carry on until you have finished your course, it goes by the age you started the term as.

Yes you do get EMA for the duration of the course but as suggested elsewhere it is also dependant on your attendance, and if you miss college you need to evidence why. You are allowed up to five days off sick self certifed but you must also fill in a form with the EMA advisor to say so. There is a bonus twice a year and if your efforts and attendance are good (which I am sure they will be!) then you will qualify for that also. Good luck
