  1. about 100-200

  2. mine were $500 for the boot and $450 for the blade!

but if youre a beginner you dont need really good ones.. so i think u can get them for $400-500 total!

  3. Some one just starting  $70-$100.

  4. people will probably tell you oh, my skates were $1,000 or my skates were $400.

but when your just starting out, you can use rentals (usually about $3 per time)

once you've skated a few times, you'll probably want your own skates. ask your skating teacher/coach what kind they recommend, a lot of times you can either get them at the pro shop ($60-$120) or used for about half that.

I've been skating for two years and I'm working on my axel and my skates I got used for about $100

  5. The other answerers are right.  If you're just starting out in lessons, a good pair of skates for your level will be around $100-$200.  I'd recommend Riedells (probably a blue ribbon or a little higher).  A lot of beginning (and advanced) skaters really like them.  Get fitted at a skate shop so you get the right size, width, model and brand for your foot and skating ability.  Skate shops may even offer used ones for sale that are still in good condition.

A REALLY good pair of skates can cost thousands of dollars.  You can get skates custom made to fit any size foot, in any color, any pattern, made from any material -- whatever you want or you can dream up.  My coach has lavender suade skates right now.  :)  I've seen them in leopard print suade, black patent leather, light pink suade, white suade, teal suade, crazy designs on them and on and on.  Naturally, if they're made from high quality materials, that will increase the cost of the boot.  High level boots and blades do not come as a set.  They're purchased seperately as skaters have differing boot and blade preferences.

On average, a skater working on mostly double jumps would probably be in a $500.00 boot, which will last them for at least a year, depending on if the skater's feet are still growing or how hard the skater is on boots.  A skater at that level would skate in a blade costing anywhere from $250.00 on up.

  6. well, if you are just starting you dont need really good figure skates so about 100-200

really good skates for higher level skaters are about 300-500 for boots and 300-500 for blades

  7. if u want an amazing comfortable pair go 2 canada an probably cost 500-600 for boot and blade

  8. good brand skates cost $100-200 and sometimes a little bit over $200.  check out the Jackson FS skates.  they come with the blade, but when you advance to the higher levels, most skaters buy the boot and blade separate.
