  1. No one ever "let in " Americans. Prior to 1840, the history books called the indians "americans" because they were diverse tribes with no legally definable terriritorial claims. Americans, as used in the modern sense, are another diverse group made up of different "tribes" of people, but unlike the Native Americans, we have a common language and culture that binds us together. To answer your question: NO, the story cannot repeat here.

  2. The "Indians" didn't let any Americans in! The people who first came to what is now America were Europeans, and they weren't let in they barged their way in.

Georgia didn't let the Russians in either, nor did the Ukraine or Poland.

I'm not exactly sure which story you think may repeat here.

  3. That's actually not such a crazy question.  Many Americans gripe and moan about immigration from (or through) Mexico, complaining that the Mexicans are going to move in and take over.  This is laughingly ironic, because that is precisely how the United States acquired Texas, and then we weren't nearly so subtle when we snatched up California, New Mexico, Nevada, Utah, and Colorado. This is something that we have done to Mexico, and which Mexico has never done to us.  And given the relative economic resources of the U.S. and Mexico, how likely are they to pull off something like that over us?

But I wouldn't worry about Eastern Europe.  The U.S. just doesn't play that way anymore.  Don't believe me?  Look at Korea, Germany, France, England, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Japan.  This is the age of modern Imperialism. We don't need you're land.  We just woo you with our huge marketing projects and suck all of your money out of your economy into ours.

At least that's the plan.  Fortunately, I don't think we're doing to good a job of it, over all. We've gotten far too full of ourselves, and we're getting more and more incompetent with each passing decade. Do you remember the decline of the Roman Empire? That's about where the U.S.A is today.

I know this makes me sound like a great cynic, and I don't want anyone to get me wrong.  I love my country deeply (Did I say I was a U.S.A.'er? I was born and raised in California). But I will be brutally honest about the things I'm less than proud of.

  4. It sounds like you want to see the hammer & sickle flying over Eastern Europe once again Mr. Putin.

  5. is that what they're feeding you russians?

our guys tell us the ruskies are pilaging and eating babies?

we need to talk and stop listening to the fed and the media. wake up we're both being used. just make sure you're getting paid well.
