Okay so I'm going on a Carnival Cruise on the 22nd(Dec) and I've heard that the entire ship is Wi-Fi compatable, I have a laptop I'm considering on bringing with me but I don't know if my internet will work. I have a internet card that connects to my network in the house, but if the laptops brought on the ship will the internet card(it's netgear if anyone needs to know that) connect with the Wi-Fi on the ship? Or do I need to call Carnival and ask them more about it?

Anyone who has any information about this, it'll be greatly appreciated.

  1. Yes, your card will work.  However, Internet access is not free, and it is not high speed.  Unless you buy a package, it will cost about 50¢ per minute, and the speed is about the same as dial up.

  2. Internet connectivity on Carnival is very pricey (about 20 - 50 cents a minute) and the only available ISP while you are on ship is Carnival. As for the wireless connectivity it is not available throughout the ship. I was able to get it on LIDO deck but not in my room. It really depend on how close you are to the hot spots.
