Is the extra time when the battery is full charged will short the battery life ?

  1. I have heard that it will. You are supposed to let your battery completely run out of charge until you charge it again. If you are just plugging it in for a short time to update your ipod it really shouldn't do any damage, just don't leave it plugged in for long periods of time.

  2. no dont think so

  3. it probably has a thing to stop it from shorting the battery, but i never tried

  4. technically yes, but realistically no.

The "Overcharging" of the battery could harm the battery life. I have that nano and it works fine after 4 years. I think that is plenty and I also live with at least one headphone in my ear, so I am always using it.  Enjoy.

I upgraded to the touch and love it.

  5. When the battery is full to capacity then it will stop charging and if it is plugged into an electrical device it will just use the power from the device not the Ipod battery
