  1. I have a slight case of lazy eye, too, but I wouldn't operate on it (one, because I'm still pretty young, and two, the idea of surgery on my eye just kind of freaks me out). My doctor did tell me to do an eye exercise to help, and maybe it can help you if you decide not to go through with the surgery.

Hold a pencil directly in front of your face and keep your eyes on the tip of it. Then, whilst still keeping your eyes on the tip of the pencil, slowly bring the pencil closer to your face until you see double. Then pull it back slowly and repeat.  Do it ten times daily.

    Hope this helps!

  2. I have this same genetic trait. It's where the eye muscle is too long, right? My dad got surgery for it but it didn't work haha. And it's creepy..imagine them operating on your EYE. Euckkkk.

Personally I am fine just the way I am.

But if it really disrupts your vision it's up to you what you want to do with it.

  3. This is not one of those things we can vote on for you. Have the surgery if it will make you feel better, more confident, or if it bothers you.

Don't have the surgery if it doesn't bother you.

From the sound of it, you are very confident and self assured (it's about time we run into a teenager who is, I , personally, thank you!).

Personally, I like all the quirks about me, both physical and personality, it's what makes me unique. You need to do what you feel is best for YOU, we don't matter and shouldn't have a say in this.

    Good luck!

  4. My brother had the same thing, and he had to start wearing glasses again.contacts would also help. He's fine now after wearing his glasses for about a week or so. :) hope this helps!

  5. Laser eye surgery is very safe nowadays. My cousin got her dental implants and Lasik surgery in India by a company called Indian Health Guru Consultants. The Price for dental and Lasik surgery is very less in India. She paid 25% of the price she was quoted in America.

Indian Health Guru Consultants is very famous in India They arrange Dental surgery, jaw surgery, Lasik eye surgery, Dental Implants etc for foreign patients in India. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and magazines- about their patient stories.

They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery abroad for low cost, as dental and eye surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

  6. Some guys might think it's a cute flaw. I know I had a girl once who was just a little cross-eyed. It was nice having bright blue eyes look directly at you up-close. Then I gave into my friends and other girls making fun of her, and we had to part ways.

Cross-eyed and lazy-eyes are two different things though. I myself think that keeping lazy-eyes is not worth the few guys out of a million that wouldn't mind your condition. If you have the option and the resources to fix it, by all-means do.

  7. Yes... it's worth it..
