  1. Good question:

Carbohydrates - The thing we need most to give us energy.  That's why Michale Phelps would chow down on pasta and pizza between races was to give him more energy. Sources = whole grain bread, pasta, cereals.

starch - same as above.  Starchy foods are very high in carbs. Sources = corn, potatoes.

sugar - Also the same as above.  Gives yo energy, but only lasts for a short while. Sources = fruit, some cereals, dairy, your favorite desert...

fat - Used to keep the body warm as well as protection to certain parts of the body.  GOOD Sources = Nuts, beans, leaner meats

Protien - helps build the muscles.  The more protein (and muscle use), the stronger you can be.  Sources = Lean meats, poultry, fish, nuts.

vitamin A - Good for the eyes.  Improves your eyesight.  Sources = carrots, lettuce

Vitamin B - lots of things depending on the exact vitamin.

Vitamin C - Good for the immune system.  Take that Vitamin C when you have a cold. Sources = Citrus fruits

Calcium - Helps build strong bones and teeth.  Sources = Milk, yogurt

Iron - Needed for the blood.  Sources = Whole grains, dark green vegetables.

Sodium - Helps to retain water, but too much sodium will make you retain more water. Sources = anything nice and salty! Chips, popcorn.  Go with sea salt if you can.

Of course these are simplified answers, but you get the idea.

With any of the vitamins, if you get too much, they can be poisonous.  Just eat normally and take your daily multivitamin and you'll be fine.

  2. Carbohydrates - Give Us Slow Long release Of Energy

Sugar - Gives Us Quick Bursts of Energy

Protein - For Growth And Repair

    Calcium - Vital for Bones

Iron - helps To produce red Blood Cells

Vitamin A - Crucial For Good Sight

    Vitamin B - B12 For Nerve Development

    That's All I Know But I Know Some Other Nutrients U Haven't Mentioned :P

Omega 3 - For  Brain development

Vitamin D - For Bone Growth

Hope I Helped , The Ones I haven't mentioned I'm not To Sure About x
